You wish for power to fill their hearts with hope
Countless hours they’re spending all alone
Incarceration – their way to live
You feel there’s world out there
but no-one would believe
Sad faces – yet smile with pity
Watching as you try
Ruminations reoccur
Dreams of the world that’s faded away
Germination of a wish to leave
Is haunting you day after day
In desperation you try to tell them all
Salvation is a prize for loneliness
With trepidation they listen to the truth
That’s spreading over like fast decay
You’re locked up and tried
The verdict – guilty as charged
Ruminations reoccur
Dreams of the world that’s faded away
Germination of a wish to leave
Is haunting you day after day
Feel your stomach churning
Lesson that you’re learning
Still you can’t embrace a lie
Cling to one desire
Words now burn like fire
As they ask “How do you want to die?”
Left outside the gates
With none but your name
Cast out from your tribe
Cursed till end of time
The jackals howling bring hope instead of doom
If they survived, you know you’ll make it too
Ruminations disappeared
No longer skeptics will lead you astray
Your destination – who will ever know?
You’re off to find what’s on your way
Best trad metal I’ve heard in decades. They take all things great from 80s metal, and update it. Shredding guitar solos (5 minutes into the first song is a true ripper), the riffs are legendary, the vocals recall Halford and Roth at the same time, the songwriting is great, and the production is perfect. This sounds inspired rather than recycled.
Top notch, horns up! Lute FP
